Owasso High School’s Caden Fry is known for his work ethic and his ability to play hard for the entire game. The 6-foot-7 forward is one of the go-to players for the Rams and head coach Brian Montonati.
We wanted to learn more about this senior and get his thoughts of being an Owasso Ram.
VYPE: What will you remember most about being an Owasso Ram student-athlete?
Fry: What I think I will remember the most about my time in high school is the relationships and bonds I have made with people. I think I will remember them for a long time to come and I hope I will be remembered by them as well.
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
Fry: Taking a vacation with family will be the first thing I do after I graduate. With basketball and school consuming most of my life and free time I haven’t really had much time to vacation with my family. I have had to miss out on many of them due to this. Fortunately, we found time to make a vacation work before I go to college.
VYPE: Have you had a favorite teacher in school from any grade?
Fry: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Zamor. I have had her for two years in a row and she has supported me fully in everything I have done. She always asks me questions about basketball and how everything is going in life. She genuinely cares for each and every student she has.
VYPE: What is your message to the underclassmen at Owasso?
Fry: My message to the underclassmen is enjoy high school. I know sometimes it can be long and tedious but enjoy these moments. As we have seen with COVID-19 we cannot take anything for granted so enjoy these moments while they are here.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, thank you or goodbye to anyone you wish.
Fry: I want to give a huge thank you to my mom. My mom has been my best friend throughout my whole life. She has always been there for me and has a very, very special place in my heart. I want to also thank my dad, my siblings, my grandparents, coaches, and my friends for always pushing me to be my best.
