VYPE: What are your sports goals for the year and how is the season going?
Olivia: My goals this season are to win state with my teammates and have as much fun as I can for my senior year. This season has been a bit of a roller coaster so far but I think training is going really well.
VYPE: What are you looking forward to the most this season?
Olivia: I’m looking forward to racing with my teammates and seeing all our hard work pay off.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Olivia: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Peterson, my seventh grade math teacher, because she was a shoulder to lean on when I needed it and inspired me to be myself.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Olivia: My favorite athletic memory is the moment we found out we had won state when I was a sophomore and we were all screaming and hugging each other and crying. Nothing can ever beat that feeling.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Olivia: Libby Booth left the biggest impression on me. During our time on the team together she became one of my best friends and inspired me to never be afraid to go after what I want.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being part of a team?
Olivia: My favorite part of being on a team is having a second family. I’m around my teammates more than my own family some weeks and they’ve seen me at my best and at my worst and been there for me through everything.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Olivia: I would go to Paris and take my mom with me because I know she’s always wanted to go there and we talk about it all the time together.
VYPE: If we have you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
Olivia: I would definitely spend it on clothes and shoes and probably some iced coffee.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Olivia: I just want to say thank you and goodbye to the program that has shaped me into the person I am and taught me so many life lessons that I’ll carry with me forever. Cross country has brought me my best friends and memories I will never forget.
