Brandi Wilson, mother of senior Kynlie Wilson, is a volunteer with the booster club for both
basketball and soccer. Wilson said being there for the kids is what it’s all about.
“I have been Treasurer for the Owasso Basketball Booster Club for two years and member
of the Owasso Soccer Booster Club for six years,” said Wilson.
Two of her three kids have graduated from Owasso High School. Zachary in 2018 and
Baylee in 2022. Daughter Kynlie is the third student-athlete to come through the program
from the Wilson house.
Being a volunteer is hard work, but there are many things about it that Wilson enjoys.
“I enjoy getting to know the other parents and always have enjoyed hosting the kids and
seeing them have fun together outside of sports. Being able to create memorable times for
the kids is very rewarding,” said Wilson.
The mother of three said it’s important for parents to take a proactive approach to their
kid’s activities.
“Our kids make huge commitments of time and effort to play high school and competitive
sports. I think it’s important to make time to support them, even if it’s just a few hours it
can make a difference,” said Wilson.
The Duncan High School graduate now calls Owasso home and when the family has free
time, Wilson said they love to hit the water.
“In the summer we spend a lot of time on the lake. We love sports in general and try to
support the Rams any time we can,” said Wilson.
