When coach Brian Montonati and the Rams started the season, everyone knew they had the potential to be a good team. But as the season wore on, the Rams got stronger.
In the state tournament the Rams defeated Norman, 60-48 to advance where they faced Broken Arrow. The familiar foe went down by 10, 53-43 before facing one of the favorites in the tournament, Edmond North.
The Huskies were game, but ultimately the Rams were too much as they defeated Edmond North, 57-53. The title marks the first state title in boys basketball for Owasso and the 43rd overall in school history.
Congrats to the Owasso Rams on a great run and a the gold ball!
