The Battle of the Burbs presented by QuikTrip will bring Owasso and Bixby football together for the first time since 2011. The game between two of the top teams in this region of the country will take place August 25th, 2022 at H.A. Chapman Stadium on the campus of Tulsa University.
“Nothing like jumping right into the fire with a team of their caliber, we couldn’t be more excited,” Owasso Football Head Coach Bill Blankenship said. “I think our fans and communities will be excited to be apart of something I think that will grow into a big, big deal over the next couple of years.”
Owasso Football star Cole Adams talks a bit about the matchup next season.
“We’re thrilled to provide a venue that showcases the great teams on the field and provides an exciting atmosphere for the fans in the stands,” said Mendi Treat, QuikTrip’s Marketing and Communications Manager. “Tulsa is such a great football town, and we know fans and alumni of these two schools can’t wait to fire up their team spirit and cheer on their favorite team in this highly anticipated matchup.”
