VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year and season?
Eric: My teammates and I are trying to win state this year, we were second place last year and have been super close numerous times in the recent past.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Eric: The most fun I’ve had in the last year was probably spending a week in the Minnesota
wilderness, Canoeing with my Dad and one of my best friends, Oakley Harbert, while also
catching fish and trying to get runs in.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Eric: My sophomore English teacher Mr. Debella, he was a phenomenal teacher and his class was thorough and thought provoking.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Eric: My favorite athletic memory is running a personal record at Rim Rock, which is one of the hardest cross country courses in the nation, another great memory is running 10 minutes and 10 seconds in the two mile at the Pitt State track meet.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Eric: A teammate of mine who graduated last year named Issac Conder had the biggest impact on me. Every time I ran with him I was always inspired to push through the pain and keep going.
VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?
Eric: I’m not sure about the best impression of Coach – Coach Collins himself is an impression. The funniest things during races would probably be said by Issac Krueger, he always has interesting takes on things.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Eric: I would probably take my best friends to Hawaii. Love the beaches and I want to learn how to scuba dive.
VYPE: If we have you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
Eric: If I have 500 dollars I would probably head to Academy and buy another fishing pole, some attachments for my kayak, new fishing lures. I would use the leftover cash to buy gifts for my friends.

Eric: Thank you to my Dad, he’s made an enormous impact on my life. Helping me get through scouts and earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Encouraging me to run Varsity and participate in other activities like Youth court (a sentencing court for first time offenders), Student council, and National Honor society. I know I can always count on my Dad.
