Owasso’s Reagan Plank Presented by Tour Quality Golf

High school students learn from a number of different teachers throughout their educational journey. While they all teach, there are some teachers that have a bigger influence on a student’s life than others do. Owasso’s Reagan Plank says that one of her elementary teachers played a big role in her life.

“My fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Emmons, has had the biggest impact on my life,” she said. “She was an amazing teacher and she inspired me to want to pursue a career in teaching. She encouraged me and showed me creative ways to learn and what a big impact teachers can have on their students.”

Plank is a junior at Owasso High School, where she is involved with the National Honor Society and the girls golf team. Outside of school, she is involved in the First Tee of Tulsa and she volunteers at her church and other community organizations.

As a member of the Lady Rams varsity golf team, Reagan has made a lot of memories on and off the course. But she has one that stands out as her favorite.

“The highlight of my career so far was getting to play in a Pro-Am with Pauline Roussin-Bouchard,” Plank said. “It was cool to hear about her journey to the LPGA and how her rookie year was going. It was a super amazing experience and winning the women’s longest drive contest and our team winning the tournament topped it all off.”

While continually working to improve as an athlete, Reagan has not only worked hard, but also keeps herself motivated on the course.

“It has taken a lot of practice, hard work, and support from others,” she said. “It takes dedication to practice and to continue to put in the work. I have had lots of help along the way and could never have done this on my own. My ultimate motivation is winning tournaments. I am very competitive and beating my own personal par also motivates me. A great shot or a great round always motivates me to do even better.”
