VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been playing softball?
Mariah Ahmed: I’m currently a senior and have been playing for about 11 years.
VYPE: Do you have any favorite places to play and if so, why?
MA: I love playing at the Hall of Fame Stadium because it’s a really fancy field and all the college teams play on it.
VYPE: Who on the team keeps everyone laughing, who is the most serious, and who has the best impression of your coach?
MA: KK Knight keeps everyone laughing, Addi Drummond is the most serious and Jayelle Austin has the best impression of our coach.
VYPE: What teammate has impressed you the most this season?
MA: Payton Maggard who is a sophomore.
VYPE: What is your thought process at the plate?
MA: Have a good load, attack with the legs, and have confidence.
VYPE: Who is the loudest teammate in the dugout?
MA: Jayelle Austin.
VYPE: Now for some fun, name three people you would want with you in a zombie apocalypse.
MA: Kevin Hart, Mike Tyson, and The Rock.
VYPE: What is your hot/spicy level when it comes to food? No spice, some spice or super-hot? Where do you go to get your spicy food?
MA: I love hot and spicy food, I eat the hottest stuff for fun, super-hot.
VYPE: What are your plans for after graduation?MA: Go play at a Juco College and major in Marine Biology.
