Owasso’s Noah Hill
Anyone who follows prep football in Oklahoma was well aware coming into the season that Noah Hill of Owasso High School was poised for a big year.
Hill is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and is in the running for Mr. Football Oklahoma presented by Shelter Insurance. What you may not know is how many different things Hill does for the Rams on gameday.
In the semifinal matchup with the Jenks Trojans, Hill made some clutch field goals in the game and in overtime. Kicking field goals is not what Hill is known for, but in that game, his leg was crucial for the Rams to advance to the state championship game.
“I really don’t practice kicking very much. It honestly just comes natural to me. I think being a striker in soccer really helps with my kicking ability,” said Hill. “I was pretty nervous when I had to kick that 35-yard PAT and field goal. I knew both of them had to happen for us to win. There was so much noise going on around me. I knew I just had to focus, lock in and make the kick.”
The wide receiver, kicker, kick returner and punter had another MVP type game for the Rams, but Hill is quick to point out the accomplishments of his teammates and the coaching staff.
“The quarterback Drew Frankenfield has impressed me this season. He has really stepped up for the team,” Hill said. “Coach Graham motivates us to a higher level, and he has been a great mentor for me. He has helped me through some tough times mentally.” Once football season comes to an end, look for Hill on the pitch playing soccer for the Rams and running track this spring.
