“Price does a little bit of everything for us from playing defense, rebounding to scoring.” -Head Coach Brian Montonati
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates at Owasso?
Pennington: My team is very significant to me, and they play a huge role in my life. Over the past four years, I have grown closer with each one of them and I know they all have my back. I am so blessed to have my teammates and coaches because they have helped me to improve as an individual on and off the court.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to hear coach calls you an unsung hero of the team and how do you define that term?
Pennington: It is an honor to be named as the “unsung hero” of the team. To me, this label represents someone who is not getting the recognition they deserve for the work they put in. I take this label as an appreciation from my team but still believe I have much more to accomplish. I personally am not someone who needs recognition for my hard work as long as I know I am improving as an individual.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what are your plans after you graduate?
Pennington: I am in my last year of high school as a senior. So far, after I graduate, I plan to attend Oklahoma State University and major in finance.
