There are people that impact all of us at some point throughout our lives. These people could be someone we are close to or they could be someone we observe from a distance. Either way, the influence that they have on our life can be huge.
Owasso’s Cason Chadd says that there have been a few people that have played a big role in his life.
“The biggest role models in my life would have to be my parents,” Cason said. “They have inspired me to always try my best and have a good attitude. Coach Allen is another important person in my life. He has taught me that I decide how my future is going to be and where it is going to go.”
Chadd is a junior at Owasso High School. He is currently center midfield on the Rams’ soccer team, but he has been playing soccer since he was three years old. Before moving to Oklahoma, Cason lived in the northwest corner of the country in Washington. Travel is something that he enjoys and soccer gives him the opportunity to do that.
“I really love the game of soccer,” he said. “But I also really enjoy traveling to different states for soccer tournaments. It is just really cool to be able to see different parts of the country.”
Becoming the soccer player that he is today is not something that just happened for Cason. He put in countless hours of work and dedication and he says that is what has him playing as well as he is.
“I think being committed to your sport or whatever you have chosen to do is one of the most important things,” he said. “I have given my full effort and I believe that is why I am playing so well.”
Outside of sports, Cason has played the trumpet for about six years. He currently carries a 3.9 GPA.
