Getting to Know Owasso Cross Country’s Rayna Kucharyski – Presented by J-P Hogan Insurance

VYPE: What are your personal goals this year?

Rayna: My personal goal for the season is to win state and have all of our top seven runners, including me, running sub twenty minute 5k’s.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Rayna: The most fun I’ve had last season was going to NXR, it was such a fun trip and I got closer with so many teammates.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Rayna: My favorite teacher so far has been Mrs. Patterson, she makes an effort to get to know every student personally and you can tell she loves what she does.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Rayna: My favorite athletic memories definitely come from just everyday practices, the best conversations always happen on long runs.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Rayna: The teammate who has made the biggest impression on me has been Olivia Graham. She leads by example and always does the little things right.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

Rayna: Brooklyn Garafola definitely is the one who says the funniest things during practices and meets. When Brooklyn isn’t there you can definitely notice, haha.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Rayna: If I could go anywhere for a summer vacation I’d go to the Amalfi Coast with my sister, Olivia Kucharyski and my friend Brooklyn Sparks.

VYPE: If you had $500 and had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?

Rayna: If I was given $500 and had to spend it in 24 hours I’d definitely spend it on clothes and some new Hokas.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Rayna: I’d like to thank my brother Judah Kucharyski and my boyfriend Cameron Jenkins for convincing me to run cross!
