At the age of six, Owasso High School’s Noah Hill started playing flag football for the Cowboys. He was a running back who averaged five or six touchdowns a game. So, his parents decided football might be the sport for him.
But football wasn’t the only sport Hill was good at. He played competitive soccer for 12 years and competes in track. Hill said the other sports made him a better football player.
“Playing multiple sports has helped me be a better football player. I also do all of the punting, point after attempts, and field goal kicking on the football team. Being a striker in soccer has given me a great kicking leg. My natural athletic ability is being able to run fast so it has benefited me in all three sports. I am also on the special teams and do the kickoff returns,” said Hill.
As new head coach Antonio Graham takes over the program, Hill said the team is excited and coming together to make this a season to remember.
“Owasso has a top-rated football program. The coaching and support staff is top notch. They really look out for the athlete both physically and mentally. We have training sessions and do a lot of weightlifting but also meetings about our nutrition and they provide tutors to the students weekly as well. And I love all of the friends I have made in football, track and soccer,” said Hill.
Hill said being an Owasso Ram is a brotherhood.
“They are an extension of my family. We spend so much time together working out, playing football, and competing. We are there to celebrate the wins and pick each other up when we lose. We spend a lot of time together on and off ofthe field. We always have each other’s back,” said Hill.
His inspiration comes from a very close source.
“The person that inspires me the most is my mom. She is my biggest fan and cheers louder than anyone I know. She is that mom. She is always waiting for me by the locker room ready to congratulate me, no matter what the outcome of the game is. She has always made sure I had every opportunity available to me to be successful athletically and academically. She wants nothing but greatness for me,” said Hill.
Future goals include going to college and playing DI football.
