With the season underway, the Lady Rams under head coach Justin Morsey have built a program that is not only competitive but is placing wrestlers on the podium. “Last year we finished 8th at the state tournament and return three state placers – Senior Zion Moore (2nd @ 235), and sophomore Payton Maggard (3rd @ 140), junior Ty Edwards (3rd at 170) one state qualifier – junior Karliegh Rich and return two regional placers – senior Mariah Ahmed (125) and senior Mayce Daniels (145). We return the majority of our starting lineup from last year after losing only one senior starter,” said coach Morsey.
Zion Moore has put in some great work this summer according to coach Morsey. Also a varsity softball player, Moore will likely wrestle in college. Before she packs her bags for college, Moore is focused on becoming a state champion this season. The seniors include Mariah Ahmed, Ayva Calvert, Mayce Daniels, Zion Moore, Madi Rolette, and Chloe Tackett.
The junior class includes Ty Edwards and Karliegh Rich. Underclassmen on the roster include Jadi Asberry (Fr.), Tate Caves (So.), Eliana Coulander (So.), Katie Drummond (So.), Alex Garcia (So.), Brooklyn Grigsby (Fr.), Payton Maggard (So.), Tatum Owens (Fr.), Joscelyn Rostamo (So.), Hailey Troulakis (So.), and Brooklynne Williams (So.).
